Executive Sous Chef Huy Nguyen spent his formative years as a line cook at Los Angeles’s Grace Restaurant. After spending five years learning the fundamentals of cooking from chef icon Neal Fraser, Huy chose to marry his passion for food and music. He spent several years touring the country and cooking for music legends such as Slayer, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Prince.
Chef Huy landed in San Francisco, where he spent time at Traci Des Jardins’ James Beard Award winning Jardiniere. At Jardiniere, he worked his way through the kitchen, creating a foundation for his style of seasonal, market-driven cuisine.
After a couple of years in San Francisco, he returned to Los Angeles. He spent short stints working private events with Ludo Lefebvre and as a Sous Chef at the Josef Centeno group. Chef Huy joins the CLM team as opening Executive Sous Chef for Faith and Flower.
